Introduction
Ashray Akruti is a non-profit, non-religious organization dedicated to transforming the lives of hearing-impaired children across India. Recognized as the Best NGO in Hyderabad by the Government of Telangana in 2017, the organization has been a beacon of hope for children with hearing loss since its establishment in 1996.
A Vision for Inclusion and Empowerment
At its core, Ashray Akruti is committed to providing quality, inclusive education, specialized healthcare, and skill-based training to children with hearing impairments. Their mission is to equip these children with the knowledge and skills needed to achieve economic independence and a fulfilling life.
Beyond education, Ashray Akruti has expanded its initiatives to include newborn hearing screenings and cochlear implant fittings, ensuring early intervention and better opportunities for children born with hearing impairments.
Hope for Humanity’s Lifesaving Support
The COVID-19 pandemic (2020–2022) severely impacted Ashray Akruti’s operations, disrupting education and essential services for its students. In May 2022, Ashray Akruti reached out to Hope for Humanity Inc. (HFH) for support in restoring its programs and helping students return to a sense of normalcy.
Thanks to the generosity of HFH donors, we were able to:
✅ Sponsor 54 high school students, covering the cost of the Special Education Program in 2022-2023.
✅ Support 16 additional high school students, covering both education and room & board expenses.
This unwavering support continued into the academic year 2024-2025, allowing HFH to provide:
📌 Special Education Sponsorship for 57 students.
📌 Education + Room & Board Sponsorship for 26 students.
