Alert NGO, Vijayawada, AP, India:
Alert NGO has actively helped and collaborated with local communities including tribal areas. Ms. Rajitha Kunj from the Tribal area raced in a four-hundred-meter race runner and participated in many National and international competitions in the last few years. She won many championships, coming as first, second etc., in the last 2 years. Hope For Humanity has funded her Olympic Training for the four hundred meters race since last March 2023 through Alert NGO.
Alert has been helpful to conduct an Eye Camp at Kudaravalli village , AP in February 2023 by assembling a team of eye doctors and technicians from AV Optics, Vijayawada. The AV Optics team checked over three hundred people (mostly senior citizens) and determined that over two hundred people needed prescription glasses. HFH has facilitated visits by the experts on two occasions and held eye camps where the experts were able to conduct proper eye examinations and provide prescription glasses to over needy two hundred people. All the prescription glasses provided were donated by a single generous donor family from HFH.
Hope for Humanity has also contributed through Alert NGO about 3360 trees during November 2023 as a part of avenue plantation for displaced and relocated tribal communities affected by Polavaram National irrigation project in ASR & Eluru districts, AP. This was only possible because of many generous donors’ passion to help the tribal communities.
HFH has contributed through Alert NGO over 50% of the cost of critical back surgery, performed in a specialty Hospital, Hyderabad to a guard, working on daily wages in Vijayawada area who needed surgery in September 2023. The funds were desperately needed to expedite the surgery given the patient’s critical condition. The Guard recovered well from this critical surgery, and he started working as a guard again by February 2024.
HFH contributed seven computers to top merit and needy students at Mudinepalli High School, AP on November 15, 2023, through Alert NGO. The money was contributed by a generous donor, Dr. Babu Rao Doddapaneni who graduated from this High school in 1963.
Alert NGO helped to develop a community education center, provided scholarships to needy students, and improved school facilities at Velivolu Village, Krishna District, AP since January 2022. Mr. Sambasiva Rao & Mrs. Bhavani Ghanta have generously contributed to improving the village infrastructure of his native village over the last 6 years, including awarding scholarships for higher education to needy students.
